Covid-19 Update Notice

Notice to all of our patients –

GOOD NEWS!

With the recent extension of Illinois Governor Pritzker’s modified “Stay at Home Order” announced on April 23, 2020, we want to let you know how this affects our practice.  We will be re-opening our office for routine care on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 and we are looking forward to seeing you all again!  You will notice we have implemented screening measures and safety precautions in order to help protect you and our staff as recommended by the CDC, State of Illinois and the Illinois Optometric Association.   We are also implementing new protocols.  All staff will wear masks, we ask you to wear a mask to your appointment as well.  When you arrive at our office, we will have you check in from your car via call. Our technicians will call when a room is available to start your appointment.  If you are a new patient to our office, please print and fill out your paperwork at home, our staff will collect your paperwork, ID or license, medical and vision insurance cards (if you have not previously sent to the office in email).  Only the patient should come in to the office (minors or patients that need assistance can bring in a parent or caregiver).  All visits to our office, whether to see the doctor or an optician will be scheduled.

Please consider the CDC’s recommended precautions and reschedule your appointment if:

  • You are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19
  • Have traveled outside the state within the last 2 weeks
  • Have you attended any large gatherings recently
  • Are experiencing any of the following symptoms
    • Fever over 100.4F
    • Shortness of breath
    • Cough
    • Sore Throat
    • Muscle, body aches or headaches
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

On our end, we continue to disinfect and sterilize equipment between patients and will be cleaning any patient contact areas, including disinfection of eyewear tried on, every time.  We will have hand sanitizer available throughout the office.

Please call our office if you would like to schedule an appointment or have any questions.  We will continue to have phone hours 10am-3pm on Thursday 4/30, Friday 5/1 and Monday 5/4.

We are so excited to be able to reopen and see our patients!
